Summary: The Bethel Island is run by OnYourMarkEvents(OYME). This is a very small, friendly race. OYME puts on the TRI for funs and DEL VALLE Challenge (OW swim). It is a low key, and mellow experience. Good coordination and race control. No chip timing, only final. The course is pretty convoluted on the bike, using all the island but consisting of a spider web of pretty straight-aways ending in sharp, slow turns at the edges of the island. The Bike was only 21.5 m, and the swim was short by at least 400 meter. HOWEVER, the event is run well, nicely supported and the island is really pretty. No problem parking and a fun place to grab some friends and drop 40$ on a morning's event. Afterwards, the racers go to the top of a restaurant overlooking the Delta for a beautiful sunny relaxing lunch.---Good fun.

Pre-Race: OK night's sleep, ~7hrs. Great sleep the night before. (must do!)

Nutrition: Big Problem; Note to self, don't eat raisins the morning of and the morning before. Avoid Popcorn on the night before! I had some pretty good urge to ditch into the woods on the run (s)-okay not funny. Otherwise the Maltodextrin mix is good for an Olympic distance (2
