The Info:
The first workout will be February 7th at Gunn High School in the parking lot.  Meet at 8:00am, wheels roll at 8:30am.  The first workout will be a ride, covering bike handling, shifting, braking, group riding etiquette and safety.

NTTS is geared toward those who have never done a triathlon or who feel they need to revisit the basics. Whether you are someone who is new to fitness training entirely or you are accomplished in one or more of the sports (just have not put them all together yet), NTTS will help you reach not only the starting line, but the finish line as well. Also, if you have been racing in the sprint distance and want to go to the next level, you can benefit from the NTTS workouts.

In respect to the 4 disciplines of triathlon (swim, bike, run and transitions), NTTS will cover all but swimming. While swimming will not be the focus, we will cover transitions from the water to the bike, and the coach will be happy to answer and field questions you might have regarding "the churn".

Every Saturday starting February 7th we will be meeting to focus on training and how to build a training week to accomplish your triathlon goals.

Here is the usual format:

  • 8:00am arrive at workout location and get gear together
  • 8:15am start pre-workout briefing
  • 8:30am wheels or feet are on the move
  • 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hour workout
  • Wrap-up workout

If you have not done so, please print out the racer survey sheet (can be found on the club website NTTS page http://svtriclub.org/new.htm) and bring it to your first workout. By doing this you will help shape the ongoing program and Brandon will be better suited to assist you in your racing and fitness goals.  Please feel free to email Brandon with your questions or concerns about the program at the email address below.
